Ecotourism Isolated from the electricity and water sanitation supply systems, Ca l’Agnès works autonomously by means of renewable energies. It counts on a photovoltaic solar system, a biomass heating furnace and a biological septic tank that allow for a comfortable stay of up to 8 people. In coherence with sustainability, energy saving and efficiency criteria, the house is equipped exclusively with low fuel consumption facilities, promotes garbage recycling and asks its guests to respect those principles. Also, we want to promote a sort of tourism, which is respectful with natural environment and is sensible to its preservation. The current engines have been possible thanks to financial grants from Diputació de Barcelona-Parc Natural del Montseny (biomass heating furnace) and Institut Català de l’Energia (photovoltaic solar system). The property provides also a Technical Plan for the Management and Enhancement of Forest, which is deposited at the Centre de la Propietat Forestal (PTGMF Num 796) and a sustainable forest management is being done for years, following the criteria of the PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification).
